A digital SLR camera looks like any normal big digital camera but it’s different in the manner in which it is used. It is a digital camera that enables the user to see the picture exactly as it is without being altered by any digital components inside the camera.

Let me unpack this explanation a bit more, the light goes through the lens as we all know. Once the light enters the camera it hits a mirror, which reflects it to a condenser lens. The lens then sends it to a 5 sided prism that diverts it to the user’s eye in the eye piece. When the photographer takes the picturethe mirror inside will shift or rather will swing upwards so that the light can hit the image sensor.

We said earlier that what you see on the viewfinder is the exact image but in most instances it is not 100%. This means you need to check the specs of the camera i.e. how much coverage it has and its brightness. The truth is most often the image coverage can be 95% but a naked eye would never be able to spot the difference.
